This photo was captured in Pond Inlet, Nunavut during the summer when the icy tundra blooms with unique flowers and plants. These ones are Arctic cotton and are used by the Inuit people to burn in small oil candles. Not only is it visually striking, but the cotton is also incredibly soft to the touch.
